SC Evnironmental Variables
This lesson will teach you about the sitecontroller environmental variables.
Below is a list of sc evnironmental variables and their explainations:
Used to control a feature of automatically exiting and installing updates (NewServer3.tgz) when they appear. Two modes are supported, controlled by the value "1" or "2". In mode "1", the SC exits (with an "exit3" status) as soon as it sees a "NewServer3.tgz" file in its working directory. In mode "2", the SC looks for "NewServer3.tgz" as well as the file "taupdate.dat", and in addition, checks that the clock reads 1:00, 2:00, or 3:00 am. When this criteria is met, the SC will also exit with an "exit3" status. Mode "0" can be used to turn the feature off, which is the default behavior if this variable is not set. Acceptable values: any integer. Default value: "0" (no automatic exiting). Example environ.dat entry: "AUTOEXIT 2" 09.00.00-06dbs
Sets the initial debug level of the Site Controller.
Sets CCL interface parameters, in the format of "IPAddress:PortNumber". Should always be set to "127.0.0.1:4558".
Forces daylight savings time.
Sets the TCP port for remote GUI support program.
Sets modem hang-up wait before the modem can be dialed again.
Sets number of full logs archived.
Sets maximum log size.
Prevents time from being set by the Master POS.
Prepends “9,” to dialed phone numbers. This variable is unused since the splitting of the SC and CCL code.
Controls whether the log file should be archived or continually overwritten. This should always be set to "1".
Sets ID for support logon. Example environ.dat: "SITEID SomeText".
Overrides the Support comm port specified in the SC Setup program.
Overrides the Support baud rate specified in the SC Setup program.
TLS meter security code.
Allows COM5 and COM6 to be USB serial ports.
Sets idle prepay mode.
If set this will be the maximum gas in dollars that will be dispensed. If not set it defaults to 999.00. Example setting below:
Specifies first dispenser for 2nd Gilbarco current loop port. Example environ.dat: "GILSPLIT 8" for starting with the 8th dispenser.
Specifies UDC mechanical dispensers.
Disables Wayne grade to position. File gaswyn.conf can set values.
Single tier public protocol dispensers.
Gilbarco PAM in buffered price mode.
Attempts Tokheim price load with handle off hook.
Sets the COM port for the Veeder-Root interface with Vapor Recovery. Note that only the number for the port should be used. Example environ.dat entry: "VRDIM 2" to use COM2.
Set Warren-Rogers TCP/IP port. Example environ.dat entry: "WRAOPS 5000"
Sets Wayne products. Example: "WYNPRODS TEXT"
Defers the debit question to the CCL set in the SC's environ.dat.
An example of setting this variable is presented below. DEBIT_CCL 1
This option must be include if the site is planning to run Metrosplash, and the site needs to take debit cards.
Allows the site controller to ignore an out of paper status on tokheim dispensers. To set enter into the site controller's enviorn.dat as shown below.
Overrides credit card auth limit specified in the SC Setup. Note that the CCL can override this value.
Allows Gilbarco Cash Acceptors to take $50 and $100 bills.
Specifies cash limit for Cash Acceptor transactions.
Terminals are initially closed.
COM port for second type of dispenser.
Number of Crind device threads.
Overrides the Crind terminal type.
Wayne DSM (Debit security module) serial port.
Specifies Gilbarco CRIND firmware version.
GSM (Gilbarco Security Module, for encrypting debit pins) serial port.
Forces text mode.
Specifies Smart Fuel terminals without printers.
Disables Smart Fuel printer online logic.
No Tokheim start key.
Sets serial printer port for propane media log.
Sets proprietary fleet card ISO range.
Activates proprietary fleet.
Specifies Schlumberger modified keypad layout.
Smart Fuel Daemon (SFD) TCPIP address and port. Example environ.dat entry: "SMFADDR 127.0.0.1:60000"
Specifies first CRIND for 2nd Gilbarco DBox (Distribution Box) serial port.
Sets initial video state.
The Following environment variables are for testing and/or debugging and should never be present in the field.
Allows Gas Test Mode.
Sets flow rate for simulated dispensers.
Used with Ryko simulator.
Sale amount for simulated dispensers.
Sets initial test flag value.
Use number keys for handle on/off toggling on simulated dispensers.
