How to Change the Printer IP Connection for Linux

NOTE: Below are steps to change the IP of a Manager Workstation Printer. If this is a USB printer, there is no need to change the IP.

From the Manager Work Station, click Computer in the bottom left corner and then select YaST.

If you are prompted for root password, type fiscal.

In the hardware section of YaST, select Printer.

There should be only one printer selected. Press the Edit button to change the IP settings.

Enter the new IP address in the Location field and then press OK.

Press OK again to exit the printer configuration.

NOTE: This will not change the IP of the actual printer, just the IP address that Manager Workstation accesses the printer on. To change the IP of the printer itself, refer to the printer's owner/instructional manual.
