Site Controller Upgrade 15.7 Instructions
Section 1: Site Controller: Toshiba 4810-36x
Materials Included: One USB drive.
The following steps are provided to assist with the SLES operating system upgrade process on the Toshiba 4810-360 and 4810-361. Other models may not follow the same upgrade process.
You can confirm your Site Controller model by viewing the label as seen above
If you are unsure on how to perform any of the following steps, please call:
Help Desk: 1-800-838-4549, Ext. 3
- Stop “Server3” and “CCL” programs (type “exit” on SC and CCL side of Site Controller
Watch for errors, If errors occur, please call the Help Desk!
- Power down machine and insert USB drive into a USB port on Site Controller.
- Power on and repeatedly press the “DELETE” key while booting to open the BIOS menu.
- Once in the BIOS, use arrow keys to navigate right to the “Boot” tab.
- Make sure“Boot mode select” is set to “UEFI”. Skip Step 5 for 4810-361

Figure 2.1 can be used to follow Steps 5 & 6
- Select “UEFI Had Dik Drive BBS Priorities”.
- Change “Boot Option #1” to [opensuse-secureboot] and press“ENTER” key.

- Press F4 to bring up the “Save & reset” screen, select “Yes” and press “ENTER”.
Figure 2.2 can be used to follow Steps 7 & 8
- Wait for the Login screen and log in with the following credentials
User: root
Password: fiscal

- Once the dialog box is present, press the “ENTER” key to continue with the update.
- After update is complete, SHUTDOWN the Site Controller and remove the USB drive.
- Restart the Site Controller
Post Upgrade Notes
Version Verification:
At this point, you will have completed the upgrade process and your Site Controller should boot with SLES 15.7, this can be confirmed with the following: “cat /etc/os-release”
Due Diligence: After confirming that your device has been upgraded successfully, it is advised to verify the prices for all fuel products and inside merchandise.
Registering for Compliance
To remain PCI compliant, your system needs to be registered with access to the update servers. https://updates.suse.com using port 80 and 443 Login as root and type “regsles” and hit enter. See output below.
